I previously wrote a review after I first got these boots. This was only after the first week or two after I got them though. After 6 months ownership I have to say these are quite poor. I do use this heavily for work and they get serious use, but they have started to come apart at the heal and the pull tabs have snapped. The lining inside the zip is also coming apart. For 6 month old boots this is poor. I had a previous pair of Magnums and they lasted a good year of heavy use, still not amazing, but better than these models. Everybody I work with had suggested switching to Alt-burgs, which I will be doing from now on. I do not recommend these boots for heavy use.

Spider Exo 8.0 CT Safety Boots

Size is good with a large toe box. Support around the ankle is great, but I found the insoles slightly uncomfortable, so swapped out with some Superfeet insoles. As usual, the boots take some time to bed in, but are supple and comfortable after.

My son was absolutely thrilled to receive these. Based on reviews, he chose half a size bigger than usual and that seemed to work really well. He says they’re really comfortable and sturdy, perfect for being on his feet all day.

First couple of days the boots were horrifically uncomfortable. But with 3 wears or so they softened up and were absolutely fine. They are good for all day wear but a little clumpy. Which is to be expected to a certain degree with composite toe boots. Overall I’d recommend these boots but I wish I had not picked this exact model. I would have probably gone with none composite toes.
