The leather peels and flakes just after a few months of wear also the plastic at the heel keeps breaking into bits and I have to stop work to shake out the plastic debris. They were fine for 2 months but slowly they started to detorate rapidly. I'd expect more for a 150 boot for work but sadly magnum I will move to another brand .

Third pair Ive had, last about 2 years of everyday wear and tear, old pairs still in use for gardening!
Comfortable from the off high protection and safety with excellent comfort
Boots are great for my work at the hospital and ambulance service
Very comfortable
Easy to get on and off
Good support and protection especially to toe area (tested while accidentally running them over with hospital equipment)
My only slight niggle was there took a long while to break in, longer than expected and during that time did cause injury to my feet but all good now
Nice boots but has given me blisters on theballs of both my feet and had to get a good tight fit due to the zip. I have ordered a pair of none zip boots
Very Happy!
This is my third pair of Strike Force 8.0 Side-Zip CT CP WP Uniform Safety Boots. Wanted these because the side zip makes the boots easier to put on.
First pair lasted four years and were replaced with a similar pair. The second pair are still useable but were replaced as the zip is wearing on one boot.
I have a rather broad mid shaft of foot, and I find padded boots VERY uncomfortable (due to extra pressure inside every day) and because I work lot out in rough ground, sides of roads and highways (heavy recovery) I need something tht is not only comfortable when driving, but also hits the spot with protection from rough roads, chemicals and other hazards.
I've now gone with purchasing a pair of boots from another well known brand, after several pairs from magnum still didn't fit comfortably. I normally wear two pairs of socks for extra padding (as most boots don't provide that much padding) but in the magnums, they were padded quite well, just very tight around the foot still, which became very painful after 12 hours of wear!
This is my third pair of Magnums. Definitely go for the zip ones; vastly easier to put on and take off without a fight.
My first ones lasted 4 years; falling to bits now but I still wear them sometimes. I wear my Magnums almost all day and they are one of the most comfortable boots I've ever had (I'm in my sixties!).
The newest ones I doubt will last four years; one of the zips snags a lot. hence only 4 stars (sorry!)
I've been wearing Magnums, both safety and non safety, for decades. These are the best yet.
When I bought these, they felt more like a comfy pair of slippers than safety boots. Padding is good, fit is secure, and though you know you're wearing them, they never feel as heavy as you'd imagine them to be. They haven't leaked a drop, even though they've been through deep water and snow use.
Only 2 issues have arisen. One was quickly sorted by customer services (a small piece of fabric pulled out of the stitching). The other is just life, that they've developed a squeak. But that's always a possibility in boots that are doing many miles every day.
There's still plenty of life left in them, but when the time comes, it'll be more of the same.
This is my second pair of these. The 1st pair were spot on. Lasted ages. Im a porter at the hospital an walk around in these boots all day. Theyre not only comfortable theyre very light. The soft sole makes for a good boot. My feet after a hard days graft are as good as they were in the morning. Mint.
